Deadlifts/Bench Press or Weighted DIps and Chin-ups
Just remember with the timing… if you can’t do power shrugs yet then start with those and if you’re deadlift isn’t decent then it’s almost pointless haha
That is true. No point doing high pulls with 65lbs lpl
Great information .
Thanks my friend
You are absolutely right!
Thank you!
you cant put brains in statues...the internet has given a voice to any half witt with a keyboard and the iq of a crash test dummy...excuses are for the weak and in this clown world there is plenty of them...hello from australia 55yr old iron slinger for nearly 40yrs..never give up
Bingo! I said that in a previous video.
Hi! Physio with kind of same Abductor/Hip problem. Go with dry needling, with a certificate PT. Game changer. It will be very painful but will reward you.
Thank you! I will give it a shot!!
I've always said use it or lose it!
Yep. And the longer you go witout the harder and longer it will be to regain it
Maybe we should all Crawl from now on😉
There would be a prpblem with that as well lol
I do front squats because they just feel better for my posture and also engage my core and spinal erectors a lot more. It’s a lot easier to get injured back squatting as well. If I want to hit my hamstrings and glutes a bit more I’ll just toss in leg curls and lunges.
Great reason to do.them
Would you say 3-5 reps w/o accommodating resistance is too heavy?
Too heavy is subjective. See how it works for you and report back
@@TheStrengthClassroom thanks. Did SSB box squats today for 3 sets of 5 and felt pretty solid. Probably was rep 7-8
@@TDace25 nice glad.to.hear you liked it.

Any suggestions?
@@TheStrengthClassroom There's a lot of good strength lore around Andre the giant, Haku/Meng, and a few others.
And don't forget Super star Billy Graham. Even competes in the world's strongest man. 💪
You're a beast man!!
Thanks brother
Nice basement in gym in snowfields.

Looking good man. I’m working on high incline with dips . Omgosh the pecs and shoulders are so pumped after .
Thank you!!
I just finished my 2nd push workout of the week but im so doing these today anyways!😊
Awesome!
Contact William Seeds, MD - it changed everything for me . Tell them Jock referred you. It’s hard to get to see him. I’m tight with him and it will help. I feel your pain brother.
Ill give it a shot thanks
Try to find a good osteopathic doctor. they can do some hands-on medicine. Often they can address issues that at a chiropractor or a massage therapist can’t. Maybe check out an MRI too. That should give you some more definitive answers. Best of luck to you, keep Up the faith. Disclaimer, I’m a middle aged MMA guy and my wife is A DO…
Thanks i will look into ot
lol what a weak pumped-up grown baby you are. Not a warrior AT ALL. Literally a ZERO spirit pumped-up lser. Lean?? Won't even comment that. How little is required to make you have a complete mental breakdown. And pathetic gym-livers like you even manage to whine about it... What a f-ing shame, I hope your father doesn't see you.
Since youtube blocked my last comment. Inhale my rooster.
Welcome to reality. 51yo been injured since I was 14. Mind over matter. Suck it up. Adapt. Evolve. You're still muscular. Ime not that easy, I still do every exercise with the intention of fixing something. Something always needs fixing. Imo
Greay advice!
Gama was a kashmiri not an indian. His parents migrated to present day punjab Region in Pakistan before the partition. Why indias claim when he wasn't an indic guy. He was clearly a Kashmiri. He just was trained in punjab.
Same thing happened to me at 34. I took a whole month off from lifting. I really dialed in my sleep and diet and would take a long walk each day with some push-ups. Then when I came back I did the super squats program. I'm 35 now and I've never felt better.
Great to hear a positive story
@@TheStrengthClassroom You're not going to have the motor 20 somethings have. Dudes in our mid 30s are starting to develop old man strength.
do check your body for knots, my workouts have been hindered because i had a knotted scapula/neck/upper back i started rolling against the wall on a tennis ball, this helped greatly and i started to move like i used to just a thought
Me Also. Tennis ball on the wall and heat loosend things up for me
Ill give it a shot
Hell ya man! I have a powercage and a Landmine attachment but didn't want to build blocks or have the space taken up. This is awesome! And I don't have to buy anything else. You rock man. Looking forward to this weeks second leg day. God Bless!
Thanks for watching brother. Glad you liked it.
@TheStrengthClassroom you got it broski thanks for putting it out for us. I've seen one or two of your other videos before and they're great. I'll be watching way more now. 🙌 👊 💪
Hey buddy…I’m 53, competition powerlifting for 30+ years. 750+ squats….try lifting one day a week for a little bit. What would you include in that? What’s most important? 4-5 movements. For one thing you will recover, you will look forward to that one big day. After awhile throw in a second day. As for the hip, look into spud inc gateway squat briefs. Not like powerlifting briefs, more like knee sleeves for the hips and groin.
Thats a decent idea
I feel beat up on and off ever since i was 30 or so. How are your isometrics feeling? Planks and stuff like that? With a leg injury its common to not get exposed to as heavy loads and have it mess with your performance everywhere. Ive had to pivot to heavy bench work just to keep from feeling gross/weak. Hang in there! Video was pretty cool!
Lunging and single leg stuff are what bother it the most
0:37 🔥damn those lats 🤤and side pec peek a boo.
I gotta start censoring those shots and charging you LOL
@@TheStrengthClassroom nah leave a little eye candy lol 🔥 keep wearing that shirt
Idk shit about conjugate but I thought regarding injury & overuse issues it’s the path to be on Keep your head up bro you inspire me on days I’m not feeling it
This had nothing to do with conjugate training but I would agree with what you said
Hey man, this video randomly came on my feed and I’ve been dealing with the exact same injury and lack of feeling good about my workouts for about the same amount of time. It sucks but seeing this helped a bit because i know im not alone. I’ve completely stopped working out and i want to get back into the habit of being active and pushing myself again. My PT explained hip and ab therapy is just a long and slow road to recovery. It’s frustrating but that’s something I have to remind myself everyday day. We’ll both get back to feeling better about doing the thing we used to love! Keep up your mobility exercises!
Thanks for the kind words brothrr
I'm 41 man. Taking a day per week to do deep stretches keep me limber and pain free in my joints. I tried the sauna while on holiday a year back and I absolutely loved getting an early morning workout in and then doing a 20 minute sweat in the sauna before getting in the hotel pool. Everything just felt so much better after going from hot to cold. But I feel you. I was going full steam ahead during the lockdowns until golfer's elbow took me out for six months. I fixed that with clubs and finger extensions but it took me awhile before I came to that solution and my elbows stopped barking at me all the time. I learned to programme properly and just listen to when I needed to take a day or some conditioning work instead. You can't go hard all the time.
Glad to hear that man
Vladimir Zatsiorsky and Louie Simmons warn about muscular accommodation, which is when you stop progressing in muscular endurance, size, and strength. Both Zatsiorsky and Louie Simmons recommended rotating exercises, exercise routines, and strength training methods. You can learn about both respected strength authorities by reading, Vladimir Zatsiorsky's classic text on strength and conditioning, SCIENCE AND PRACTICE OF STRENGTH TRAINING, and Louie Simmons' book, WESTSIDE BARBELL BOOK OF METHODS. FYI, I'm 67 years and 9 months old, and I'm stronger now than when I was in my 20's and 30's.
Wow thays awesome!!
You're in you're prime mate I'm 48yo you will definitely have to change the way you train, when you get into that sort of age bracket. I'm sure you will heal up so enjoy this time because as I said it all goes down hill after 45 lol
I feel like my prime passed over night
You did the Kamala Harris bands
Nice
Hahaha
Great advice. I’m going to do paused bench press
Let me know how it goes
Very big man
Thank you
Been hitting the high incline press lately also Haven’t done in years and Idk why
Its a forgotten angle for sure
Looks like great training man
Thanks man
Very sexy
This was held for review brah
I have a question for you. For weighted dips, in your opinion which is better? Using the belt around the waist or using chains around the shoulders? I used the belt in my younger days. As I've aged, I've used the chains.
I prefer the belt method
@@TheStrengthClassroom Thanks for your input. I enjoy your channel a great deal!
I’m surprised Matt Wenning never mentioned alternatives for the belt squat if your gym doesn’t have one. His videos are always highly recommending belt squats over barbell squats to reduce mileage on lower back.
Because he wants you to buy his lol
@@TheStrengthClassroom lol 😂
Thanks
Thanks
Thanks
Big fan of the single leg RDL too. I've actually found that I can hit my hams and glutes better with one leg kickstand RDL's as opposed to having to balance on the one foot. Which also gives me more stability and better mind muscle connection. Would be curious to see what you think of them!
Interesting ive tried the kickstand. They are good
